OEE: the largest global network of ocean energy professionals

The largest global network of ocean energy professionals
Ocean Energy Europe is the largest network of ocean energy professionals in the world. Over 120 organisations, including Europe’s leading utilities, industrialists and research institutes, trust OEE to represent the interests of Europe’s ocean energy sector.
As a not-for-profit organisation, every euro invested in OEE is used to promote the European ocean energy industry.
If you’re active in the ocean energy sector, OEE can help your business grow.
Join OEE
The voice of Europe's ocean renewable energy industry
Ocean Energy Europe’s mission is to create a strong environment for the development of ocean energy, improve access to funding, and enhance business opportunities for its members.
To achieve this, OEE engages with the European Institutions (Commission, Parliament, Council, EIB, etc), and national ministries on policy issues affecting the sector.
The results are undeniable: in the past few years the sector’s profile has increased significantly, and the EU has emerged as a major driver of the industry.

OEE Annual Conference & Exhibition
Ocean Energy Europe also organises the annual Ocean Energy Europe Conference & Exhibition – the industry’s leading annual event which gathers the industry’s most senior representatives, Ministers & EU Commissioners every year.
Since its launch in 2013, the event has grown to be the world’s leading annual ocean energy gathering.
The OEE2023 Conference & Exhibition will take place in The Hague.

EU projects: Delivering value for the sector
Ocean Energy Europe also participates in publicly funded projects where there is a clear benefit to the sector as a whole.
Founded by OEE in 2013, ETIP Ocean – the Technology and Innovation Platform for Ocean Energy is an officially recognised advisory body to the European Commission on research priorities. The platform is led by OEE and is funded by the European Commission via the Horizon Europe programme.
OEE also works on the EU-funded EuropeWave, Ocean DEMO and NEMMO projects, which advance the development of ocean energy technologies by providing support for testing and research. Previous EU projects involving OEE include SI Ocean, DT Ocean, OceanSET, SMARTSPEND, MaRINET/MaRINET2, Marinerg-i and FORESEA.
