Registration is open for Copernicus Marine Week 25-29 September in Brussels

View from The Duncansby lighthouse on the east of the Pentland Firth, north coast of Scotland. Under these waters MeyGen Tidal Energy Project is beginning the world’s first multi-turbine tidal stream energy project. This location, beween the Scottish mainland and the island of Stroma, is an excellent tidal resource. In its intial phase the project will produce 6MW from four underwater turbines that are being installed here during 2016. By the early 2020's Meygen hope to be generating almost 400 MW from more than 269 turbines installed on the sea bed of the Pentland Firth.
