09.12.2024 Innovation Fund Call – €200m for ‘Pilot Projects’

OEE engaged extensively with the Commission in 2022 to introduce a specific topic for ‘Pilot Projects‘ and has since continued to push for its renewal. Four ocean energy projects have been awarded since its introduction. The ‘Pilot Projects’ topic has been renewed again this year.

This Innovation Fund call has a total budget of €2.4bn, with 5 dedicated ‘topics’:

• Large-Scale Projects: €1200M – Capex above €100M
• Middle-Scale Projects: €200M – Capex above €20M & up to €100M
• Small-Scale Projects: €100M – Capex between €2.5M & €20M
• Manufacturing projects: €700M – Capex above €2.5M (no ceiling)
• Pilots Projects: €200M – Capex above €2.5M (no ceiling) – Max award €40M/project
