29.11.2024 €20m for small-scale tidal in Philippines through Mitigation Action Facility (MAF)

The Government of the Philippines, through the Department of Energy, will channel €20 million of grant funding to tidal and solar PV projects around its islands, through the Mitigation Action Facility (MAF). This will be coupled with loans from local banks and tax incentives. The combined installed capacity target of tidal and PV is 50MW for this programme for projects up to 6MW.
