07.01.26 €25m Grants in Clean Tech for Climate Call – Horizon Europe 26-27

Horizon Europe is the EU’s largest R&I funding programme. This briefing is on one particular call for “Clean Technologies” in the 2026-2027 Work Programme.

OEE sent a preliminary briefing based on a previous version of this call back in July. Since then, the only thing that has changed is a requirement to reach TRL 8 by the end of the project.

Compared to the first draft of this call, this final published version has improved conditions for renewables (including ocean energy) thanks to OEE’s engagement with the Commission.

01.09.25 Horizon Europe 2026-27 Relevant Calls for OEE Members

This briefing details 7 additional calls in the 2026-2027 Horizon Europe Work Programme relevant for OEE members. The calls below have a wider scope than just one technology. The eligibility of ocean energy-related applications is a result of OEE’s active engagement with EU policymakers.

28.08.25 €44m for Ocean Energy ‘Flagship’ in Horizon Europe 2026-2027

The 2026-27 Work Programme (WP) includes one call specific to ocean energy: HORIZON-CL5-2027-03-D3-10: Innovative technologies and solutions to improve wave and tidal energy systems. This is a pre-publication briefing as some details of the call could still change, but it aims to give OEE members a first insight into this new and possibly complex type of call.
