ETIP Ocean Workshop

The European Technology and Innovation Platform for Ocean Energy (ETIP Ocean) has analysed the challenges facing the ocean energy industry and has been running webinars on the identified priorities. The workshop at OEE2018 will give participants a chance to shape webinars’ results and to influence future EU and national funding calls.

This event is free of charge to attend.

During the workshop, the ETIP Ocean secretariat will briefly present the findings from the events and webinars and then participants will break out into smaller groups focussing on specific topics. Each group will provide concrete solutions and strategies to take the industry forward.

The findings of the workshop will be integrated into an Integrated Strategy. The Integrated Strategy will be presented to the European Commission and national governments and will show what are industy’s needs from the future EU and national funding calls.

ETIP Ocean is the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Ocean Energy. It helps to define research and innovation priorities for the ocean energy sector and promote solutions to the industry, European and national policy makers. In 2017-2018 ETIP Ocean organised a number of webinars and seminars to discuss technology, finance or environmental & socio-economic challenges. The workshop at OEE2018 will give a possibility for participants a chance to influence future EU and national funding calls.
