France Energies Marines is organizing its annual Science & Technology Forum dedicated to Offshore Renewable Energies on November 26th in Brest.
This event aims to share information on the challenges faced by various actors in the OE sector and the results of the latest dedicated R&D work carried out in FEM collaborative projects.
There are only a few days left to register. To do so, nothing could be easier: http://en.france-energies-marines.org/S-T-Upgrades-2018
The day will begin with a keynote by Pr Torgeir MOAN, an expert in the field of floating wind turbines from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
Four round tables, illustrated by the results of the collaborative R&D projects coordinated by France Energies Marines, will then follow during the day and on the following themes:
- Storms, cyclones, rogue waves: extreme events impacting offshore renewable energy devices
- Bottom-to-surface connections: the challenge of floating wind turbines
- Food webs and the socio-ecosystem approach: towards a better understanding of the effects of offshore renewable energies on the environment
- French offshore test sites: unique infrastructure to support the development of the sector
